Acceptability of Counseling for Men (Cedar Rapids, Des Moines, Dubuque, Fort Dodge, Iowa City, Mason City, Quad Cities, Sioux City, Southeast Iowa, Waterloo, on-line)
Help wanted > Research/Study
The purpose of this study is to figure out what factors make counseling for personal problems like depression or substance abuse more or less acceptable to men. We are particularly interested in recruiting men of color and sexual minority men for this project because we want to see if these factors that make counseling acceptable are the same in different groups of men. We believe that it is important to have an inclusive representation of men’s experiences over all races and sexual orientations. Participants will participate in the study online, completing a demographic questionnaire and then six questionnaires, for a total of 89 questions. We anticipate that the study should take about 20 minutes to complete.
As a token of our appreciation, men who participate will be able to enter a raffle to win one of four $50 gifts. You must be a man 18 years or older to participate. To take the study, please follow this link: https://akron.qualtrics.com/SE/?SID=SV_6L1ESKRyiBwvdch
