Patch a Damaged Hardwood Floor. Call us at (602) 446-2613,
www. Royal Wood Flooring.com for all of your wood flooring installation & restoration needs.
Your Hardwood Flooring needs patching when:
Pet stains are just too deep embedded in the grain of the wood (sanding
can only fix so much), cabinets or walls have been moved to a different
area in the house, old vents or duct openings become obsolete.
Steps in Replacing and patching a hardwood floor.
1. Replace any missing sub-floor
2. Remove the damaged hardwood floorboard
3. Fill the empty space with hardwood
4. Make sure you are using a fastener at every 8 inches, with at least two fasteners per board
3. Fill the gaps with wood filler, let it dry
4. Sand the entire area so the newly replaced wood flooring planks match the existing wood floor
5. Apply wood floor finish.
