FYI:Some individuals on Kauai rent out their personal cars, it is a law anyone renting cars to the public must have a business license and commercial insurance most don't comply. which means your driving without insurance, consequently if involved in an accident you the driver will be personally held responsible. Good new is we are commercially insured.
