Tim Hanna, Matt McDevitt, and Chris Konicki have all been teaching and
coaching at the same high school in South Jersey for the last 10+ years,
while Jim McAfee has been an architect in South Jersey for the past 15
years. Each has strong connections to Cape May and Atlantic Counties. In
2006 they began brewing together and working their way towards opening
Tuckahoe Brewing Company.
Our Brews:
DC Pale Ale
Our flagship ale is a traditional American Pale Ale that uses a balance
of Centennial, Cascade, and Willamette hops. The flower, citrus, and
spice aromas compliment the initial bitterness of this perfectly
drinkable all-season ale. From your backyard barbeques to midwinter
feasts, DC Pale Ale will satisfy.
Marshallville Wit
Our white Belgian ale is lightly hopped and perfectly spiced. Using the
finest water, wheat, pilsner malt, hops, and honey, we make our
Marshallville Wit with warm South Jersey summer days in mind. This
citrusy unfiltered ale has hints of coriander and chamomile from start
to finish.
Steelmantown Porter
Our smoked porter has hints of vanilla bean, American Red Oak, and
Scottish peat. This full-bodied American Porter is best enjoyed with
friends sitting around a pine tree bonfire on bench seats ripped from an
old van in the middle of a quiet New Jersey snow storm in December.
New Brighton Coffee Stout
We will be brewing our New Brighton Coffee Stout in small batches using
coffee beans roasted by our neighbors at Harry and Bean's Coffee
Company. All profits from the New Brighton Coffee Stout will be donated
to the Marine Mammal Stranding Center in Brigantine in honor of George
Gerlach, the legendary founder of Surfers Supplies in Ocean City, who
passed away this year.
