I am an extremely experienced and passionate English, Spanish, and PSAT, SAT, ACT, and English tutor.

My academic background includes:

Vassar College, B.A. in English
Warren Wilson College, M.F.A. in Poetry

I achieved 90th percentile performance or better on the ACT, SAT, and GRE.

I tutored learning disabled students with LearningAbled in Oak Brook from when it opened in Jan 2008 until it closed that November; with Score! of Naperville in August 2007 until March 2008; students who needed help with language arts, English, Spanish, biology, and history with Rapid Success Tutoring in Baltimore, MD, from Februday of 2004 until June 2006; and students in SAT prep with Spider Smart of Gaithersburg, MD, from December 2005 until June 2006. I have also done a lot of formal teaching for the PSAT, SAT, and ACT, college-level English, and reading comprehension and phonics.

I have years of experience teaching and tutoring, at which I both excel and enjoy. I believe in incorporating a student's parents and teachers into the tutoring process in order for that student to achieve her or his maximum potential, and I believe in listening to my students to ascertain and address fully her or his needs as well.

My rates are flexible, but I typically charge $45 to $55 per hour. I look forward to hearing from you.
